Thomas A. Elliott
Along with his brother, John, Thomas A. Elliott is a founding partner of Elliott & Elliott. He has tried dozens of cases to successful verdicts and has recovered more than $500 million for his clients in settlements and judgments. His practice includes construction, products liability, insurance coverage and bad faith, commercial, environmental, real estate and asbestos exposure cases.
Tom is admitted to practice in California, the U.S District Court for the Northern, Central and Southern Districts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. He is also a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Tom received his B.A. in 1972 from the University of California at Davis. He received his Juris Doctor in 1975 from Santa Clara University.
Tom served as amicus curiae on behalf of the property owner in Jimenez v. Superior Court (2002) 29 Cal.4th 473, the leading case in California that holds that manufacturers of component parts, such as windows, installed in mass-produced houses can be held strictly liable for product defects.
